TOUR DESCRIPTION

Unplug, Reset, & Get Ready to Discover Your Rogue! A Discovery Tour is a complete Oregon experience, packed full of spectacular scenery, meaningful history, wildlife viewing, and thrilling jet boating –with 360’s, of course! A perfect way to make lasting memories with family and friends in a stunning natural setting.

Our jet boat tours also include a 1 hour layover at our one-of-a-kind Discovery Park “Island” located under the towering cliffs of the Table Rocks. The only way you can get there is by boat! Once you arrive at the Discovery Park, the fun or relaxation is up to you. Your group may want to start by ordering from the Ole’ Chinook Bar & Grill for great food & drink. Prices range from $8 to $13 a plate and include hamburgers, beef hotdogs, salmon burgers, veggie burgers, chicken bentos and our “snackle” boxes.  We also have a wide range of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, smoothies, ice cream and snacks to satisfy the cravings.

You’ll have full access to our private, 40-acre “Lake Rogue Jetter” for optional rental activities that can include: paddle boats, stand up boards, kayaks, canoes, inner tubes, and fishing poles for fishing bass off the docks. Swimming is also an option with life jackets available for all ages. Come and enjoy our Aquatic Adventure! This year, our lake introduces an Aqua Park, an exhilarating floating playground where you can run, jump, climb and slide down! The Discovery Park also has games of all sorts throughout the park for those that want to stay active, and shaded tables and hammocks for those looking to relax. Don’t forget to take part in our famous souvenir arrowhead hunt and check out the souvenirs and apparel!

Tip: If your group would prefer less jet boating and more time at the Discovery Park for an afternoon of fun, we suggest you look at our Discovery Park Experience!A

CANCELLATION POLICY

Ticket purchase requires a nonrefundable 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining balance charged to card on file 1 day before trip, OR paid with separate cards over the phone. You are also welcome to pay in full. Any remaining balance on your trip is charged to original card on file 1 day before your tour time.  Cancellations or changes to reservations are accepted up until 24 hours before the trip, with the non-refundable deposit carried forward to a future booking or emailed to you as a store credit. Last minute No-shows and day of cancellations are charged in full.

OTHER HELPFUL TOUR INFO

Participating in an activity with us requires a digital waiver completed for each person. This is sent to you by text, in your reservation confirmation, and reminders to email on file. Please have all waivers signed before arriving for tour.

All activities start and end at Touvelle State Park: 8601 Table Rock Rd. Central Point, Oregon 97502. There will be NO directional signage once inside State Park. Instead, look for the big gravel parking lot to the left as soon as you enter the Park. Park and walk down to river’s edge where our boat loading ramps are. Staff will arrive and start check in process 20 mins before departure. We load boats next to the bridge. Any auto entering the State Park is required to get a $5 self-pay parking pass by cash or check. This is paid to the State Park at the self -pay ticket booth at the entrance to Touvelle, and not to Rogue Jet Boat Adventure’s staff. As with any public place, please do not leave valuables in your car.

Arrive 20 minutes early for check in. If you arrive late, you forfeit your ticket. Reserving the front row is not available, but we do take special requests at check-in. The captain has the final say of where your group sits, for even weight distribution and keeping all safe. The back rows are reserved for families with kids, the elderly, or those who are pregnant. Loading the boat requires either making wide steps over the rows of seats or sitting down on a row and swinging legs over rows.

Infants are not recommended because the tour includes spins, you are in full sun, and light to heavy water is to be expected on your boat at any time, (Hearing crying babies during an adventure is not most people’s idea of a good time.) If you decide to bring your infant, they will be sitting on the lap of an adult.  All ages require a ticket, please. Ages 12 years and younger are required to wear a lifejacket by law including infants, and by law we must supply a certain kind. Please do not bring your own. Thanks!

Pets are NOT allowed on the boat. There are a few shaded parking sites at the State Park, but it is not recommended you leave your pet in the car as outdoor temps can reach 110+ here in Southern Oregon. We work with the amazing Krazy Kritters Pet Sitting company just a few minutes down the road. You can arrange to have the sitter come play with your dog at the State Park while you are on your adventure. https://www.krazykritterdogwalking.com/ 541- 678-0570. Prices are between $25 and $50 depending on service, for two dogs.

Please do not bring your own alcohol. Hot & cold food items are available as an add on once arriving for your Discovery Park layover. Snack foods including chips,  jerky, candy, and ice creams are available for purchase. Don’t worry, we also have you covered with soda, juice, coffee, wine, beer, seltzers, & ciders. Bring I.D. for alcohol purchases, please.

Lake activity rentals are not included with ticket purchase and are first come first served once you arrive at the Discovery Park. Rentals are done in 30 min increments at the following prices: Tubes $5, paddle boards, kayaks, and paddle boats $10, canoes $15, fishing poles $5. Swimming is very popular and done at your own risk with no lifeguard on duty. Lake water is around 70-80 degrees, while river swimming is a refreshing 62! Of course, life jackets are available for all water activities.

Beginner fishing pole rentals with jigs are available or you are welcome to bring your own gear. Gear MUST be folded down and not rigged (preferably in a case) to load onto the jet boat for the tour. Fishing is catch and release on our private lake and a fishing license is not required for ages 12 and under. 13 and above will need to have a fishing license, available at most Sporting Good stores.

Depending on bookings of the day, our tour sizes range from 6-25 passengers per boat. In the unlikely event we do not meet our minimum for running a tour (6 people), we may have to reschedule. We do our very best at giving you 24 hours notice when a change may be needed. If we can not get you rebooked, a full refund is issued.

Whole boat bookings of our 25 and 18 seater boats are welcome and can receive a 10% discount. Total seats for a Discovery Tour, per trip, are 53 by combining our 10, 18, and 25 seater boats. (We only use the 10 seater boat when the 18 and 25 seater boats are full.) Multiple boat bookings are great fun for groups because you interact with each other on the water throughout the whole tour. Water wars anyone?

Tip: If you have a group bigger than 53, you may want to consider booking a Discovery Park Experience or Private Event instead.

5/5

This was a fantastic adventure, filled with thrills as the very skilled pilot wove his way over the rapids, through very narrow channels, and super fun spins. If you sit in the front you may even get a few extra splashes to cool you off!
